Buffalo Bills are Most Attractive in NFL

It’s official. The Buffalo Bills are the most attractive team in the NFL. Granted, their on-field performance may not look so pretty lately, but this title isn’t based on victories.

It’s based on the actual beauty of the players! It comes from The Wall Street Journal and Ursinus College of Pennsylvania.

We all know professional football is rough, competitive and downright ugly at times. Find me one NFL player who wants to be remembered for his beauty, rather than athleticism. I mean, NFL players aren’t exactly found primping in the locker room before a big game! So why would the Wall Street Journal choose to rank NFL teams on their looks?

Researchers say since the opening of the NFL season coincides with Fashion Week in New York City, they decided to tackle the question, “Which NFL team is the handsomest?”

The Wall Street Journal called upon researchers at Ursinus College to “analyze the facial structure of a sampling of 320 NFL starters.” That’s ten from each team. They also included the two “most-photographed” players and the head coach from each team in the league.

Apparently, if the two halves of your face match up well, you’re good looking! Who knew? And, it turns out, the Buffalo Bills facial symmetry rating is 99.47, the highest in the league!

The local team of “hotties” is actually led by a debonair head coach, Chan Gailey, himself. The report says he’s more attractive than most players! When Gailey spoke with the media earlier this week, in his weekly address, he didn’t appear to be worried about his looks. He seemed more focused on football.

Gailey says the first few weeks of the season will be an adjustment for every NFL team. Due to labor issues, the season got off to a rough start. Gailey says fans will take notice, especially with special teams. "You have a lot of rookies that have made the team, league wide, maybe on potential more than product because you drafted them or you liked what you saw," he said. "But they haven't had that much time in your offense or defense." Gailey says that goes for veteran players who are with new teams as well.

The turbulent season is one that "defies prediction" according to The Wall Street Journal. That's another factor that led the paper to "focus on another sort of ranking" and look at the team beauty.

Good-looking or not, the Bills are one of the worst teams in the league and they’re set to open the season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, who just happen to be the least attractive team in the league, when it comes to looks, according to The Wall Street Journal report. But the Chiefs did win their division and make it to the playoffs last season. As the saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

So does our hometown team of pretty boys have a chance against the homely, but victorious Chiefs this Sunday? Stay Tuned. Maybe the Bills can win them over with their good looks!
