David Tyler

Business Development Manager

David currently serves as Business Development Manager, Life Sciences. In his role, David manages a variety of projects involving life sciences companies, economic development projects, and marketing and communication activities. David has more than 12 years of experience with technology-based economic development initiatives and new business startups.

Prior to joining the BNE, David was a Senior Project Manager and original founder of BuffLink, a non-profit organization focused on building the life sciences industry in Buffalo Niagara. While at BuffLink, David developed and implemented a three-year strategic plan as well as worked on a variety of projects involving life sciences companies, economic development projects, venture capital sources, and marketing and communication activities. Prior to joining BuffLink, he was Vice President of Economic Development for the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County in State College, Pennsylvania, where he managed two high-tech incubators and provided support services to more than 50 local technology companies. Dave was also responsible for the development of a $3 million incubator building within Innovation Park at Penn State, and managed the development of a $2 million industrial park project.
