BUFFALO, NY – Invest Buffalo Niagara (InBN)—the nonprofit, privately-funded economic development organization representing the eight counties of Western New York—announced today that New York City-based technology company CloudInsyte has chosen to relocate its headquarters to Buffalo. CloudInsyte plans to bring in three to five well-paying positions immediately and more than twenty at the closing of its next round of financing. The CloudInsyte team plans to have its offices within Z80 Labs’ space at the Innovation Center in downtown Buffalo.
CloudInsyte is a vendor marketplace that matches IT and security service providers with customers. Their platform simplifies and accelerates the due-diligence process of analyzing service providers, saving time and energy for the customer and streamlining the deal process for the provider. Co-founder and CEO Joshua Ferry is a Buffalo native and Buffalo Bills season ticket holder. He did not miss a home game while living in New York City.
“We already knew Buffalo was a special place,” said Ferry. “Going through this process with Invest Buffalo Niagara and the University at Buffalo just validated that even more. The affordable business climate and, most importantly, the talented people made this an easy decision.”
Co-founder and COO, Kate Huber, a New Jersey native who fell in love with Buffalo, its people and its obvious potential, agreed that the growing company was a perfect match for Buffalo and is excited to be a part of the urban revival she sees happening.
“Buffalo continues to be a low-cost alternative for growing technology companies from across the country,” said Alan Rosenhoch, Director, Business Development, Domestic at InBN. “CloudInsyte is a great addition to our growing tech cluster and we are thrilled to bring their headquarters to Buffalo.”
CloudInsyte was searching for affordable office space within an entrepreneurial focused city with access to talent in its relocation search. InBN provided data and expertise on the region’s talent pool and growing technology and startup ecosystem. InBN also facilitated meetings with local accounting firms and university partners.
“CloudInsyte is yet another example of how UB helps drive economic development in our region,” said Christina Orsi, Associate Vice President for Economic Development at UB. “This multifaceted partnership with CloudInsyte will involve faculty research and development, student internship opportunities and new permanent job opportunities for our graduates. It’s a win-win and we’re thrilled to work with the CloudInsyte team.”
“This is another well-deserved celebration for the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Western New York. This community is booming with high-growth potential startups and at Launch NY we are seeing an increasing demand for both our mentoring and invest local financing programs,” said Marnie LaVigne, Ph.D. President and CEO of Launch NY, “We welcome CloudInsyte to Buffalo and invite other companies and investors to see what we have to offer here in Upstate NY!”
