When Rural Sourcing, now rebranded as Sparq, came to Buffalo in 2021, the Atlanta-based company hired its first 40 employees in less than 12 months. Since then the business has more than tripled its local team.

The 240,000 square-foot campus, located at the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP), will include manufacturing, warehouse and administration.

A renaissance of the city’s once derelict waterfront includes the Canalside shopping and entertainment district, lakeside hiking and biking trails, a naval maritime museum, and Silo City with its iconic grain elevators.

Together, Peter and Tom discuss a variety of topics, including the history of Invest Buffalo Niagara and the current challenges for both the organization and the region in the wake of the pandemic.

“If you don’t have the product, you don’t have the project,” Hubacher said.

A combination of industry, academia, and government have secured the future of manufacturing for the Buffalo Niagara region.

The site will add 400 local customer service jobs, according to a press release.
