LegWorks aims to develop and supply all components of a complete prosthetic leg solution for lower limb amputees and currently sells an innovative prosthetic knee joint called the All-Terrain Knee. Cimolai is a worldwide designer, supplier, and builder of complex steel structures including bridges, stadiums, utility structures, and more. The company has worked on the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the Hans Wilsdorf Bridge in Switzerland, and more. The company was founded in 1949 and grew exponentially in a post-war, industrialization era.

Niagara Food Specialties (NFS), incorporated in 2001, is a food processor, distributor and wholesaler, specializing in the production of prosciutto ham for the foodservice (restaurants & hotels) industry and gourmet retail markets. NFS adds value to raw pork, producing artisanal quality charcuterie, including prosciutto, capicola, pancetta, salami, guanciale, and sausage. This family operated business is currently headquartered in Niagara Falls, ON. NFS began to investigate US expansion when they faced with growth limitations due to border crossing restrictions and rules on imported meats to the US.

Today, many companies, such as public utilities and telecommunications companies, have massive amounts of data that they collect in their normal business. TROVE Predictive Data Science was formed utilizing this technology to deliver analytical solutions and data-driven insights to its customers. Thier multi-source data fusion technology combines internal customer data with over 2,000 attributes of external third-party data.

PatCom Medical
PatCom Medical is an early-stage Canadian medical device company focused on improving patient comfort during evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. PatCom’s small diameter endoscopes, advanced light and camera technology, and patented Esophageal Introducer allow for easy intubation and more accurate testing, including Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), Videostroboscopy, and Reflux testing.
With 80% of the company’s sales in the U.S., having a physical presence in the States became a top priority. The company was looking for a region with a strong life and health sciences ecosystem, specifically within minimally invasive surgery innovation, as well as potential for academic partnerships.
