Economic development organization harnesses regional momentum and collaboration across eight-county region to develop fresh identity

BUFFALO, NEW YORK – Buffalo Niagara Enterprise today officially unveiled a rejuvenated brand identity and new organizational name—Invest Buffalo Niagara, along with the tagline, “come grow your business with us.”

“The positive economic momentum underway in Western New York is pointing to a new day and a brighter future,” said Tom Kucharski, President & CEO of Invest Buffalo Niagara. “As we looked ahead to the role our organization would play in helping develop that future, it became clear that a new brand would better represent the progress that is occurring and more effectively position Invest Buffalo Niagara to seize this momentum.”

Invest Buffalo Niagara is the eight-county area’s leading research, marketing, business and economic development attraction organization.  Founded as a not-for-profit public/private partnership in 1999, the group has played a direct role in assisting over 340 companies to invest more than $4.4 billion, resulting in a positive job impact in excess of 42,000.  These companies span range of industry sectors including agribusiness, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, logistics & distribution, advanced business services and clean technologies.

“There has never been a better time to invest in Buffalo Niagara than right now,” said Randall L. Clark, Chairman of Dunn Tire LLC and the Invest Buffalo Niagara Board of Directors. “This new name and brand is an evolution that is consistent with the growth and resurgence we are experiencing in the Buffalo Niagara region.  It is a more accurate statement of the critical role our staff plays in attracting investment and job creation opportunities that strengthen our economy.”

Beyond business attraction and expansion, Invest Buffalo Niagara continually spearheads and contributes to economic development initiatives taking place on behalf of the community. This includes coordination of the original 43North Finals Week, publishing the Buffalo Niagara Relocation Guide and Labor Market Assessment, sponsoring the Bright Buffalo Niagara venture forum, helping bring Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest Tour to Western New York, hosting cross border symposiums and many other notable events, commitments, and gatherings.

The organization also recently relocated its offices to 257 West Genesee Street and is compiling a suite of fresh collateral materials while preparing a more dynamic web presence. As it evolves, the new website will offer various tools for businesses looking to relocate, grow or expand their operations in the region.

“I want to recognize and thank our partners at Block Club for their contributions to this rebrand initiative,” said Jenna Kavanaugh, Marketing & Communications Director of Invest Buffalo Niagara. “Together we engaged in a formal brand review process that included substantial research, competitive analysis, client evaluation, surveys, organizational dialogue and ideation. The result is a modern name and new look that allows us to keep pace with local economic progress and best tell the story of our community’s attractiveness for business investment”
