We are pleased to confirm that the Buffalo-Rochester Metro Corridor has delivered an extremely sophisticated and compelling bid submission to Amazon in response to the company’s HQ2 project RFP.
Given the very competitive nature of the selection process, the submission team is at this time unable to unveil any specific details regarding the contents of the submission; however, we can state that the region’s response focused on big picture thinking and the many key attributes that make Western New York an extremely attractive option for Amazon. Some of these attributes include a well-recognized regional affordability and low-cost of doing business, top-tier talent pipeline, strong history of innovation, and an existing urban infrastructure built to handle past size and future growth.
The submission team looks forward to hearing more from Amazon as the company begins its evaluation process, and both Invest Buffalo Niagara and Greater Rochester Enterprise plan to provide additional public updates as information becomes available.
