This year’s five startups to watch in Buffalo features a collection of companies that have developed their business models, raised money and begun to expand their potential markets.
What’s left now is to replicate successes – over and over again – reaching customers around the U.S. while growing their teams in Buffalo.
“It puts a spotlight on us,” Kucharski said. “We are definitely becoming one of the places that IEDC members will look and that will ultimately raise our profile.”
“Two new sound stages in Buffalo really speaks for the increased demand for this kind of production space,” Fleckenstein said. “The industry is always looking for next production hot spot.”
In the face of changing technology and transportation, the city wants to ensure the investments it makes to support this development can accommodate the mobility solutions of future decades, while at the same time providing an inclusive and vibrant public realm.
“We have been happy and surprised with the talent we have been able to collect from the Buffalo ecosystem,” Kosinski said.
“We are excited to bring this type of business into the mix that’s being created on the Northland campus,” said Peter Camaratta, BUDC president.
“Nobody knows Orleans County inside and out like Jim,” said Tom Kucharski, InBN president and CEO. “He has done a remarkable job.”
Buffalo startup and InBN win CloudInsyte acquired SaaS company Lift Bridge, growing both the company’s capabilities and team.
Life Technologies Corp. wants to invest $90.3 million in its Grand Island plant, a move that could create 60 jobs and further cement the company’s presence in Erie County.
